Who are we
Shining Stars International (S.S.I.) is a Christian organization founded in the mid-October 1995. We are dedicated to seeking the best interpretation and application of the Holy Scriptures handed down to this age by the Holy Spirit through the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. We operate as a non-profit organization, officially registered in 2004 at the Accra Registrar General Departments Office in Ghana, under the Youth Football Music Makers Association. In January 2025, Shining Stars International d.b.a. as Ubiquitous Shining Stars was registered as a non-governmental organization (NGO) at the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Proctection (MoGCSP), as required by the laws of the Republic of Ghana.
The group was formed by Mr. Kojo Baffour Sencherey, the first male teacher of the newly built Kaneshie Presbyterian School, who desired to instill godliness and righteousness in his pupils. This vision quickly evolved into the formation of Shining Stars International, known for its unique singing quality and faith.
The first member was a young, six-year-old class one pupil, Miss Alexandra Aboagye, who was joined by others like Robert Agyeman, Emmanuel Pipim Agyeman, Ebenezer Teye-Kwao, and many more from the same school. The group has since grown in strength, moving through several locations before finding a long-term base at Rehoboth, Imitate Christ Ministry, from 2004 to date (2009).
